Auto finesse dressle

Knuckles

I'm glad I didn't bust this out as soon as I got it. A few early reviews on here showed this isn't a product to be applied by cloth.

I wandered town for about an hour today to find a spray head for the bottle, what a pain that was.

Anyway, @Auto Finesse dressle: from what I gather it's an all purpose trim dressing, but it's not a rival to revive... I tested it against revive anyway

started by giving all the plastics a watered down IPA wipe down to remove any remaining product/road grime

i used dressle on the passenger side and revive on the driver side

Before

the IPA seemed to remove some of the wax staining

I find dressle leaves a very Matt/satin, natural finish and is very easy to use: spray on. Leave. Lightly buff off any excess if you over applied.

Honestly though, this product isn't for me, I prefer the wet/gloss look of revive and the thicker consistency. As picky as it is I don't think dressle is for me.

For the engine and wheel arches though it's ideal. I just don't spend much time doing either of them

Looks good knuckles! It seems this product is getting very mixed reviews from people, I wonder what AF are thinking with it now!

I think the problem was either not providing instructions/a spray head and people thinking it was an all in one cleaner/dressing.

I had a little play with application and found if you don't let it soak and just rub it in, it just rubs off. You may as well use water. But use it properly and it does give a mint finish.

It's a great product, don't get me wrong. It's just not for me.

Interesting. Revive looks better and I'm about to write up something similar.

Definitely an arches and engine bay product like 303. Spray on, leave, wipe if necessary.

Even with seemingly correct application I'm still out on this product I think, 303 from what I've seen still seems to trump it.

Anyone got a link to 303 and a link to befores and afters?

I had a look at my splitter in the dark with a torch* tonight and was very impressed with it... I'll hold my "dressle isn't for me" comment until tomorrow when I've had a good look at it compared to revive.

Ill keep eel this thread updated with regards to longevity. The ease of application has been playing in my mind lol.

*iphone torch as we were coming home.. I didn't go out solely to check the dressing

I again personally prefer 303 for Engine bay and arches but I found that Dressle was good on interior plastics rather than exterior as it doesn't leave them all glossy.

While I was cleaning my car today I noticed the dressle on the side of the car Was holding up very well, I thought the beading dropped off a week or so ago. It did on the front at least.

Dressle on the passanger side, revive on the drivers side. Auto Finesse

Leaving a very natural finish still, although the beading has dropped off on the front of the car

Bit odd that it's only beading at the bottom

Holding out well that Dressle.

I agree with a post above its great/awesome for a spray and leave on engine bays and interior trims etc.

Anything where it gets weathered doesn't seem to last imo.

Good work though Knuckles
