I'd be looking at something like AF Rejuvenate and maybe some Autoglym HD or Werkstat Acrylic Jett

(wekstat and AF bought from polished bliss with free delivery) :)

Rejuvenate via applicator or MF pad the apply jett. Read the polished bliss site for more help. :)

IMO tripple can add a bit more than rejuvenate due to it's filling, especially when usign both by hand. I left it alone on my roof and managed about 3 weeks with weekly wasahing. It is not meant as a stand alone product really. Top it up with tough coat and you're onto a winner. Tough coat seems to be very similar to werkstatt in relation to look, durability and pure and simple ease of use.

rejuvenate gives a slightly better clean and a fraction more cut but still fills a little but not as much as tripple. depends on the condition of your paint as to which I'd recommed as both are good products. On silver and good condition paint I'd be leaning more to rejuvenate.

I wouldn't want to top something that has carnauba as it's protection. As you know Sealant then wax. I think the sealant properties would be compromised imo.

The filling and cleansing of tripple is immense but I would only be topping it with another wax. As I have done with Vics Red last summer.

That's why I thought Rejuvenate then TC or Werkstat would be better. I found Jett to be a little easier to work with than TC. TC is a little more durable than Jett probably but yeah very similar in what they bring to the table.

I've only tried 1 panel with tripple and tough coat and it sheeted for quite some time, but there are quite a few on DW that have done it and not experienced any issues. I asked James about this and he said it would be fine and have used it themselves on a few occassions.

OT regarding vics red and yellow, I'm still testing them on the Golf and they're still holding. I don't know what happened last time but something significantly affected durability. PM your way Kev

i did consider tough coat on top but im not overly keen on spending alot as no doubt the car will look dreadful with missed bits and missed polish residual

tbh the cars lucky im even considering washing it

with tripple and tough coat there is no residue or powder as they are extremely easily removed. even if left and you spot it 30mins later they are still easily removed unless your in direct sun

If your not going to top up your hard work using tripple with either a wax or sealant, you're kinda wasting your time. No all in one will give you any real long term durability as really they are meant as a quick fix until you have time to do it properly. The thing with tripple is that it has a very minor cut, less than a finishing polishing so does clean up pain very well. Think of a nice red bonnet that's turned pink. a few passes and it brings it back to life. also the filling capabilities means it leaves a lovely finish, more so when sealed up with wax or a sealant. On a Polo I would imagine you could get 25+ coats easily out of a 250ml bottle of tough coat so is quite well priced.

pre wash or snow foam, wash, tar remover, rinse, dry, tripple, hardcore paste wax. dependant on contamination of the paint I would recommend a good clay to lift embedded dirt, and an iron remover also

should see it protected for a few months
