auto headlights

how can you tell if your clio has auto headlights, i picked my car up sat and the fella sed it didnt have them on but just been out in my car and the head lights came on but stalk was set to off, never notice it yesterday, any help would be great

Drive in the dark, if they switch on you have them.

Probably, what reg is your clio? I know the ph2 have it.

Turn your sidelights on/off/on/off quickly . You'll hear a beep . This activates / deactivates the auto headlights . You might need your key in the ignition turned to position one . Mine doesn't need the key in but some do .

1 beep is off, 2 beeps is on.

^^^ Try it with the key in the ignition turned to postion one with your engine turned off . Then turn the sidelights on/off/on/off . If you have auto lights you'll hear a beep .
