I belive the manual tells you how, or just bypass the auto setting

I shall look, they do me nut it!!!! if left on auto, the rear wash wipe comes on when reverse is selected, usually dry wiping the screen

Dont think you can turn it off..... wish there was an auto & intermediate setting as the auto is usually gash.

Yeah i want it on intermittant only(sp), not auto, as in i find them well annoying!!!

Its just 'Off -Auto- Constant- Fast Constant'

Well i know the Trophy doesn't even have an intermittent option! They just get a dynamique stalk, so yeah i think it would. I hate the bloody thing!! So much better in the Cup

Yes I believe so mate. Just fit a 1.2 (or whatever) stalk and so long as the model didn't have auto wipers, yours should be disabled.

On a cup it just changes the speed of the sweep, ie every 4 seconds or more on every turn

The sensitivity adjuster does actually work, it's just a bit 'delayed' lol! The bigger the notches the more sensitive the wipers are and vice versa.

It's the sensitivity adjuster. Turn it right down and they might as well be switched off.

Ive fiddeled with mine quite a bit in traffic etc... and it seems a bit hit and miss.

Every clio should just have the cup way of doing it and stop trying to be clever lol

Yep, also on Trophy's and lesser models (if stalk is changed)

Can anyone confirm a normal clio stalk adaptor would turn of the auto wipers?

Well it seems you cant turn off this feature. I just checked the book. I cant see why a stalk change wouldn't work..... but it looks and opertates the same as my cup one. The adjustment on the cup stalk affected to speed..... but on the 182 its for rain sensitivity

On my old Scenic it was an intermittent wipe adjuster. It was a much better toy rather than the sensitivity adjuster in the 182. That is just pants and a bit erratic to say the least!!
