autoglym super resin polish and shampoo conditioner thoughts.

  monaco 172
Well splashed the cash yesterday and bought of the above as i hear good reviews on it.

I usually wash my car with turtle wax car shampoo and wasnt happy with the results.

Washed with the autoglym and didnt even leather after i rinsed it down, it dried with barely and streaks at all, the turtle wax used to streak like crazy and look absolute crap if not leatherd untill bone dry.

When it had dried it was shinier than ever so i started polishing, i have just finished and the result is amazing.

Anybody else found anything better than this stuff?

I love SRP, but the Autoglym shampoo annoys me. I like suds!

I personally use Meguirs shampoo.

SRP is really good as an all round polish, make sure you wax after using SRP so all your hard work wont go to waste

what do you mean? Will it just wash off if i dont wax it?

Daniel, yeh i know what you mean, but i got a good finish so no suds is good for me!

with in time it all washes off but a wax will help its over all look and protect it that little bit more

Leather? Eek :(

No waxing/sealing after polishing = waste of time/energy.

If you want to wash/protect the car and get it looking as it should, have a look in the detailing session.

Best cheap finish i would have to say IMO is

SRP polish
EGP sealent or Megs ultra deep shine carnuba wax not the best wax by far but for £7 i rate it

Glad to read the comments on autoglym products. Planning on claying my car then polishing with srp then finishing with egp. Just fingers crossed the weather stays nice so i can have a shiny car again :)

Autoglym shampoo isn't ment to foam that much but still does the job. That said kegs hyper wash and snowfoam lance ftw

Its good stuff. I actually used to use some megs trade shampoo stuff, which was ok. It ran out a few weeks ago, so bought some AG Shampoo/conditioner stuff, i really rate it tbh! Foams up ok, but its not really meant to be super foamy................ does dry to good finish, think suds = streaks tbh

Not sealing after polishing is like not varnishing or oiling your dinning room table. Effectively bare wood which will stain, collect smears and become a bugger to clean.

Wax your car. Honnestly, the amount of effort I'd spend picking tar and **** off the bullets was ridiculous and time consuming. Two coats of wax back in June and it falls off with one pass of the mit.
Same with brake dust on the alloys. My alloys would be black if they weren't covered in Poorboys with the DS2500's on the front!

As ive said many times on here, ive been using autoglym SRP followed by extra gloss protection for many years now, have given up trying to find anything that beats it tbh, not a fan of there shampoo tho, meguires gold class is pretty good.

In many years you haven't found anything that beats that combo?

It took me 2months to realise there was better out there. Granted not from halfords.
