Autopia Order inc. PC Polisher Kit

Am about to place a big order with Autopia (Already £400 without PC polisher added:eek:)

Anyway........should I go for the complete DAS or SFX kit?

Any pro's/con's on either would be great.

Also what extra pads should I get and what polish's do you recommend

Thanks muchly

Smokey

I have both the DAS and SFX pads.

DAS seem better on good shape finishes, where as the SFX pads are more dense and foam seem more aggressive on more wethered cars.

I would say you need 2 cutting pad, 2 polishing and 2 finishing Pads to start you of.

The SFX spot pad kit is well worth a buy to. Ideal for Clios and smaller cars.

As for polishes I much prfer the Poorboys SSR Swirl Remover line but Autopia dont sell them. Not tried out the Sonus range of polishes from Autopia so cant really help on that one.

smokey you may have used a product specific code, pm blue for the latest code as I don't even know it myself!

Cheers mate, I just clicked on Shauns original link in his importing guide.

I will PM him see what he says.

Wheres the best place to get Megs#80/#83 and anything else I may need for the business mate?
Have I missed anything off of my shopping list above before I complete? I will be paying by paypal anyway so cannot complete my order till I get home and get my e-mail.

Smokey I personally wouldn't bother with the concourse towels.

I would stock up though above everything else on the blue perl buffing towels, they are on sale as well! The softest towels I've sued to remove polish although they aren't overly 'plush' so you may need some with a thicker pile for QD'ing

Smokey have you joined www.detailingworld.co.uk?

I had a look on SP but couldnt see Megs #80 or #83, does it go by any other name?

I may just go for the SFX 1/2 & 3 instead to make life easier and buy it all from 1 place

Smokey click on 'buy' on any product and you can download their product list.

They keep the good stuff behind the counter ;-)

Cheers for the link Brazo, I will certainly join up this evening as that will help me out loads when I start working for myself in a few weeks.
I'm sorting this order out early as my old mans got a Mitsi FTO Mivec in Red and its faded to buggery and swirls galore so am gonna mask it up and go mad with the PC to see what wonders I can work and use the pics for my website (need lots of before and after pics)

Im going to be offering a PC polishing service and charging approx £39 (ish) a panel, so want to get the marketing correct so hopefully it will pay for itself in next to no time.

Smokey you will need to understand its limitations it won't be much good on VAG paint for example. Have a look at the 'how' to guides' on that site.

Yeah I read that a few days ago but didnt go into detail as I was looking for something else at the time.

I Will be doing all my reading up this weekend so no doubt your will be sick of me and my questions come monday ;)

I have just de swirled a Black Golf R32, and a dark Green TDi using the PC and it worked supriseingly wel on both, my bosses Merc is scaring me though, thankfully it is silver at least.
