Aux belt needs doing, cambelt too?

I've missed my auxiliary belt change which should have been last year (4 years and 32k since last) do I just get the cambelt done while it's being done. Seems like the sensible thing considering I would have to travel 2.5 hrs to get it done at Diamond Motors unless anyone knows of someone closer to Herefordshire.

Isn't Dan at SJM closer?

Two options, get the Aux kit changed now. Then in a year get the cambelt changed and just pop a new aux belt (£15) ish.

Or do as you said, (cost them both up with fuel).

It is 36000 miles or 5 years which ever comes first on the auxiliary belt phone any Renault main dealer to find out.
I don't know where people are getting the other figures from but there not correct.

Yeah i know it's 3 years, I never do 365 in 3yrs which means I always go by the year. Shame the aux doesn't last the same time as a cambelt

Flebay, that wasn't meant in annoyance. I thought it was 3 years on an aux belt or 36k not 5yrs. So yeah I'm fine for a while

Although it is stated as 5 years for auxiliary belt, I've read due to a history of failures 3 years is recommended
