Can I do away with the tensioner spring on the aux belt setup to create a manually adjustable alternative of my own

Thanks

You could, yes but why would you? Also, if you ever look at an auto tensioner unit whilst the engine is running you will see it moving slightly.

With the supercharger setup working on more horsepower as the revs increase, I'm looking into minimising potential belt slip at high rpms. When it was mapped first time round there were signs (although not proven to be aux belt) that the power would tail off. So I was thinking of trying to eliminate this by manually adjusting the aux belt tension.
