AUX BELT????

well today i broke down and car was completely dead, then looked under my bonnet and the aux belt had come off. so i rang the garage that fitted this 2 months ago and they came out and then told me a stone had knocked it off??? would this be likely or have they not put it on properly?? and could this be the answer to my car needing jumping att he time if the aux belt wasnt fitted properly and not charging the alternator????​

i would get ur alternator checked b4 you put a new belt kit on make sure all the pulleys and idle gears move freely and are no seized they dont tend to throw belts possiable that the belt was fitted incorrect ?
