The police don't mess about here!
erm most cars in japan wont stop at toll's they have devices in the cars (have done for years) that has credit loaded on to it and as you get to a toll it auto pays you just get a monthly bill...
reason boso isnt liked in japan is because as a country its very strict everyone is very straight laced! you dont f**k with the police over there! if you do something wrong or someone things you have done something wrong even if you havent its polite and expected over there for you to apologise even if your not in the wrong! then when it is proved that you were not at fault the other person or people will show endless praise and respect...
boso on the other hand are like the mods and rockers like we had here in the 50-60's they dont give a f**k they try and cause hassle and stand out from the normal japanese people... they go out of their way to be a nuisance!
hense they drive with no plates, most have subway handles (that the pinch from trains, which is a massive no no as the japanese rail network is japans biggest pride basically) hanging from bumpers, most boso cars also scrape the floor which is another massive no no as causing damage to the highways is a massive insult and you are expected to rectify the problem out of your own pocket...
the police in japan are seen as an army really... you dont mess with them you show them respect if you dont you get fucked up... people in japan are scared of police! not like this country!

Police looked pretty restrained given that some of them were getting run over!! if that was america they would have been shot not dragged from their car!!

there isnt really street racing in japan, most drifting or touge is done on "skyline" roads which are privately owned toll roads or disused mountain passes... most of the time police wont find them the passes that are used are kept secret etc... the skyline roads being private the police have no authority on...
apart from that you get wangan racing which police wont catch due to limiters ran on the police cars that stop them reaching a fast enough speed to pursuit...
they dont really do point to point racing from traffic lights like you get in the uk... as there is far too much traffic to be able to do it.
