back drums

how much am i looking at for two reconditned back drums and a new hand brake cable also how hard would these be to change over? thanks regards leigh
 
What part do you need reconnng?

Diffiuclt to chnage ins't to bad depend exactly what your chnaging ie disk to drums etc.

well they bang and clunck when you apply the brake so i dont really no which bit needs changing on them why i was going to chance the hole thing our do you it it mite be somethink simple to do when u brake the hole back end feels horrbiles bang and clucks and it just does not feel safe what so ever

Shoes are £14 to £35 ish depends where you go car parts places can do then for £16 ish depending on what type you need (there three from memory) so take the drums off and check what type you have. £35 is Halfords prics i think list form the top price ones.

Time to change well depends how ell welded on the rear drum is and what tools you have I've done them in about an hour before now other times taken 3 hours (ok I was lazy)

Most likly the shoes linning have come loos eform the shoes itself common issues it is. Get it chnaged now else you'll find the rear wheel locking up when the shoes gets trapped.

There no best place Renault you could argue are best.

Only way to know what type for definate is to strip the hub off. There are 2 types which are for the larger drum the other is for the smaller drum. There only 1 type though ever used on the lar drum realy talk to halfords/Renault etc though and they'll usualy help you as there only one type they will ever have ordered so that the one you need for the size of drum.

Best be safe strip it down and get that one for sure.
