Back in the game!!!

  clio 200 F4Rt
after owning a 182 cup for approx 2 years, i thought i would move onto better things, so got a 03 JDM Impreza Spec-C.

After just 2 months the Impreza had to go, as the running costs far exceeded my expectations! (over £700 on fuel in 2 months, and that was 95% sensible driving!)

So after a little thought i decided to return to Clio ownership.

The choice was between a 182 cup or a cheaper 172 and with the money saved, spend a bit on the car and have it resprayed white (i have a thing for white cars!)

So i couldnt beleive my luck when a white 172 came up for sale (CS member, tho cant remember his user name). So after a few emails and a viewing at Trax i said i would take the car!

A 5 hour drive to test drive and collect the car, then 5 hours home!

All i can say is i am well happy, one with the car, and two to be back in the hot hatch game!!

£700 in two months? Christ. I spend around £10 every 3 days on mine, and its hardly good on fuel consumption. 25mpg combined.

Anyway, 172 is a beauty mate! I'd change the exhaust for a 3" rolled.

Interior is standard full fat half leather.

A stealth exhaust is already on order to replace whats on there.

Two sets of wheels... one for road, one for track. They are Speedline 2118 that i am having done in black!

Engine cover is now in carbon fibre (not real carbon, but the best looking imitation stuff i have ever seen!)

And again, smoked side repeaters are on order to replace the orange ones!

That's awesome! I love white renaults. Can you get a center exit exhaust 'mini cooper' style for the clio? I think that might look nice and symmetrical. White WRC 5 spoke speedlines (McRae's rally Focus style) would finish it off a treat.

Nice

Is that the same white 172 that there was a thread about the build a few weeks ago? The guy sold it already? Its only just been completed I thought :S

Why oh why were they never available in white? Looks fantastic!

Looking forward to the new and improved Shed Motorsport™ Clio!

Told you that a 172 BTB was a winner ;)

Well i was/am going to go down the multipoint cage & buckets route. Leave the engine as standard for the mo, sort the suspension and brakes, and maybe add a LSD.

but having said that i am just really enjoying driving it as is at the moment! never had a leather interior!! lol.

Another box of goodies turned this morning, so more pics later! :D

I used to spend £90 a week on fuel in the 205gti lol then got it down to £75 a week in the 182.

Looks very tidy in white.
