Back to my roots

  FRS Mk3 Red edition
a few years backs i was a member of CS (brand new flame red 172 FF which is still in the family as my MRS has it) and i moved on to a couple of CTR's and more recently a mint FRS. The FRS i got obsessed with and would not use it at all, it came out of the garage washed and put back in the garage.
in the end i decided to part company with it and let someone else enjoy as i couldn't.

i have now returned to the fold and bought a mint 1 owner Racing Blue 182 cup, april 05 car with 14k miles.

couple of pics of the car it does need a clean as i got caught in the rain on monday night returning home from picking her up. A big thankyou to .Griff. for running me up north wales to pick it up.

That was some trek on Monday but worth it in the end :)

just a couple of pics of my FRS i sold a couple of weeks back if anyone is interested. she was in stunning condition and it was very difficult to see it drive down the road and be gone forever.

The rs is nice. My friends boyfriend used to have one, and I'm sure I recognise the reg, although I'm sure it's not the same one!

The Focus RS' are lovely motors, a lot more classy and classic than the new ST is.

Why get rid though??? I know what you mean about not wanting to take it out all the time, I'm terrible with my Meg 225 but I wouldn't get rid for anything.

I would have rather used the FRS then sell it. I know what you mean though as when i first got the williams i was reluctant to drive it and on any long journey i took my fiances car, but now i am just enjoy driving it. in first year of ownership i only did 3.5k in it and i still never drive it from cold :S its a bit ott but ohh well.

james i did 2900 miles in the FRS in the 2 years of owning it.

the obsession thing had turned into serious OCD and i would never have driven the FRS anywhere. it had to go and let someone else enjoy the car and drive it about.
As my best mate said just before it was sold, i have been looking after the car for the next owner which i laughed at the time, but every word is true.

But i will say the FRS is a stunning car and it was a joy to own and drive, and anyone who is thinking of buying one you will love it.
friendly insurance group as well at group 16.
Ford servicing costs are very reasonable also, cheaper than what renault charge. interim service £150.00 with a major service £250 which includes all filters and plugs.

Hi Deb

the car came from Chelmsford, essex when i bought it, from a guy called Andy Ormes, be spooky if you have seen the car previously.

Strangely enough the guy who bought the car off me took the car back to
chelmsford.

I have kept in touch with andy since buying the car off him, he is a really nice guy and his wife is cool as well, but i always forget her name.

Sam, she's my best mate from school! I can't believe you know Andy lol! It's cool that you've kept in touch with him. I was going to say it was very well looked after by him, but I guess you already know that then!

What's your name so I can tell them that I've spoke to you lol! He had a 172 for a while, but he's got the new shape rs now :)

Nice FRS! I know what you mean about not using them, but I wouldn't have sold it for that reason. I think they will hold their price well.

Still, enjoy the CS ;)

it was a very painful decision to make to sell the car, and it was discussed and thought over a long period of time.

maybe coincedence but prior to selling it i got the car out of the garage and gave it a full days cleaning and run it a few days around where i live.

The follwoing saturday afternoon we had a attempted break in of the house.

This was done between 14.30 and 16.00 when i popped out to my friends house about 100 yards away.

Police seem to think the people were watching my movements and waited for me to go out and it was a good chance they were after the car. unfortunately for the theives the five piece mortar stood up to there attempts to dig out, and the door didn't give in to the whatever tool they were using to lever the door open.
just wish i had caught them.

Hmmm, I face this worry every night with the Impreza!

Park it in the garage, in gear with another car jutted up against the main door! Got a tracker on it so they won't get far!

Still, always said when someone breaks in the house to get the car they can have it, not worth it! So I see your point!:(
