I wanted to do an engine oil change today before i go to college in stafford in the morning so i set about it. found in need a square 8mm tool to undo the sump plug but didnt have one, so i ground a piece of metal down... To find it was hollow and snapped the end off. My dad tells me morrisons petrol station have a machine you can stick in your oil dipstick and it sucks all your oil out... so i grab my container of castrol whack it in my boot and for good measure put a spare car battery against it to stop it falling over. Drive to morrisons to find no such machine has existed for a good few years :dapprove:
drive home open boot to find. Oil everywhere soaked through the boot carpet spear wheel + tool kit + skateboard + binoculars S dont ask) + sun visor protector thingy from tescos swimming in oil.
took the best part of 4 hours to take it all out and clean the whole thing. Doubt the boot carpet will ever be the same and my hoodie is ruined . After the cleansing has taken place and the boto carpet is hanging to dry in the garage (its still hanging there now) my neighbour tried to lend a hand by giving me another piece of none hollow metal to grind to size, so again i set about it got it to the right size but it in. I dont think my cars ever had an oil change and for neither love nor money could i get the sump plug off. I ended up twisting the actual metal tool i had fashioned
so i gave up, stuff it !
rage your springs survived the oil and are now wrapped in a rag in my boot !
WD40 fixed my squeaky break pedal though
gah...
Oh and i lost that large metal paper clipy looking thing from the tool kit... what was that thing for anyway ?
