Bad earth

Hi guys,

I have a bad earth in my near side rear lights. I've taken out the unit cleaned all the contacts etc and everything seems to work fine................for a few days then the problem returns, fog light light on the dash lighting up when I brake or indicate, rear wiper coming on when I'm indicating, and service and brake light warning lights lighting up on dash when cars in reverse and I brake. Do I need a new rear light unit or does the problem lie somewhere else?

You're not cleaning it up properly then... either that or there are other problems. Are you actually improving the earth condition by cleaning them? Test them with a multimeter if you have one to hand.

Clean it up really good and apply an inhibitor paste on it ideally.

I have the same problem. Gonna attempt fixing it tomorrow!

What do I need to do exactly?
