Lately i had been experiencing both a squeeking noise coming from the right hand side of the engine and also very often the car needed a little bit of throttle when starting up in the morning (started threads on both of these little issues).

However, afte my mate fitted my Group N upper engine and gearbox mounts on the weekend these issues seem to have vanished.

coinsidence or what?

Also the car vibrates alot more than it used to do inside?

The Group N Mounts will cause more vibrations as their stiffer, but for the car needing a little bit of a throttle couldnt that be throttle body problem?

but how/why would new mounts stop it?

The old mounts could just have been a bit knackared / worn and were causing the squeek maybe.

I remember the 182 now... over every speed hump you'd get a squeek and knock from the suspension mounts!

I doubt the two probs were related, unless during the process of fitting the new mounts, something got tightened, but seems a bit far fetched.
