Banging under Hard acceleration?!?!

on my cup...ive heard it could be 2 things so far...one is the engine mount and one is the downpipe hitting the chassis subframe, this is mainly during flat out acceration in 1st and it also bangs when u change into 2nd and sometimes over 5k in 2nd too?!

very annoying..can anyone help..it appers to have got worse since i got the exhaust on

How can we help, you ahve told us what it is/could be.....would you liek us to fix it for you?

If its since you got the exhaust on then if you think about it then i woudl say its the downpipe knocking on the chassis *rolls eyes*

TBH you have answered your own question.....soloution....remove the **** fitting after market exhaust

well that was a bit blunt.. maybe some replies like ive had the same problem and got it fixed by doing..etc would have been more valuable than you just having a go at me!

as for your solution..the exhaust fits perfectly and if its the downpipe at problem..then its not an aftermarket part of the exhaust causing it!

Well if the after market system doesn't fit properly it can be pushing/pulling the the downpipe and causing it to hit the cahssis.

Have a look under the car anfd see how much clearence you have to the chassis (is thats what its actually hitting) and see if ther is a mark.

Does the gear stick move under heavy acceleration when you get the knocking, if not then its very unlikley its the engine mounts.

And as its got ewortse since you had the after market exhaust on it then i guess thats atleast partley to blame
