Bargain or Ticking Time Bomb?

I thought that. I wouldn't want to buy it and drive it home though. I know it is really made a massive deal of on here but it'd be just my luck to drive that home and it go pop.

If I lived close I'd be 100% grabbing that.

Looks tidy enough. Get it straight to a specialist and it'll be reet IMO.

you wanting another Clio?

This one isn't for me, hence posting it. I wouldn't post a potential buy on here first. But in answer to your question yeah I'm getting rid of the 1.2 and getting a 172.

If it's being sold by the garage they have to give 6 months warranty by law iirc.

I did think that but it depends if they put it down as a trade sale which by the way the advert is worded would be my guess.

But but but.

i thought you said they did. :(

If its priced at less than the market value (this is probably 50% of the average from a trader) and the car is listed as having faults (as this one is) then they have covered all bases.

It's still a complete bargain though. I will be ringing them tomorrow morning!

Back under my rock I go :)

Yeah if they don't give a warranty your only come back is "not fit for purpose" but if they tell you all the problems (like they have) then it's exactly as described.

But yeah, absolute bargain for someone that can a) trailer it or b) lives very close.

From the photos, and the owners/history described, that looks like a well looked after very clean straight car, someone's going to get a proper bargain IMO.

The dealer isnt exactly selling £1000 mondeo's in an alleyway in Birmingham either (no offence intended)

Its probably ok, but for their standards they want EVERYONE to know its not something they usually sell and just want rid.

Sounds like the blokes stuck up his own arse, and doesnt realise what his got. I know its no bmw or porsche etc but he does seem abit over top like its some rust bucket 1980s fiesta or something

This is essentially a trade sale sold as seen with no SOGA applied
if you buy it you will be signing an invoice to that effect.

No hes just covering himself incase anything bad happens.

Looks like a tidy and is very cheap. Specialists do the belts for less than 500 quid dont they?

bargain, buy it, run it till it goes bang and then strip it for spares. done

Somebody is on their way to see it now. If they say no then i'll have it.

Damn them!!

Probably, they're getting banned if that's the case. I even offered to leave a deposit over the phone, but fair play to the guy, he said this other guy was on his way. He's calling me back if the other guy doesn't have it. I'd say the chances of him not having it are slim to none.
