"Bars" Radiator Flush - Advice

Bought some of this stuff to hopefully cure a blockage that I may have on the g/f's car in the heating system.

On the back it comments that:

a) The system must be stone cold
b) It needs to be mixed with warm water until granules are dissolved.
c) I cannot put it into the "overflow bottle" (assume it means expansion tank?) but that it has to go into the radiator cap or top pipe for the radiator.

Now, is it me, or is putting the stuff in via the top radiator hose going to be a nightmare for spillage and logistics?

What are the real facts about this stuff, anyone used it? I have been advised to leave it in the car for a couple of days to let it get around and clear properly, then drain, flush with water and replace coolant.

It's on a newish car (2000) with a perfect radiator so I'm not bothered about it creating leaks.

Thanks.

I'm guessing that the problem with the heating system is that its blowing cold/luke warm air instead of nice hot air once the engine is getting upto temperature?

I know on the Mk1 clios the heater matrix was a common thing to get blocked up, and cause problems, the only real way was to replace it, which cost around 30 quid, then a full day to take the dash out etc.

I can't see how Rad flush is going to cure a blockage that isn't in the radiator?

Because by the nature of the thing being liquid, I guess it will travel around the entire system?

It will only blow cold air, doesn't use coolant, hasn't ever run hot, radiator's in mint condition although the coolant hasn't been changed from day dot.
