Basic Renault Tool Set

All,

Having not owned a Renault before I am after advice on what I need to stock up on when I purchase my first clio.

Previously I know Vauxhall’s had star drives for tearing it apart and I’m wondering whether Renault have their own drive/sockets as well.

Let us know.

T20 should most interior on a clio some odd t30, and steering wheel is t50

Various torx bits and 10, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21mm sockets and you can pretty much take a Clio apart.

I found 16mm spanners always to be the odd one missing from a spanner set, but it's needed on the Clio quite a bit

Deep sockets needed in 10, 16, 17, 18 mm. Torx 20, 30, 40, 50 but just discovered the clock spring has small torx (might be 10) that hold the stalks in.

You need a swan neck spanner (or a good buzz gun) for the top mounts. 22mm rings a bell but can't remember.

And a dustpan and brush to sweep up the rusty snapped bolts.
