Bass without a sub or 6x9s

  172
I can gues what people will say, but i dont want a sub in the boot or 6x9s. I want to keep standard head unit and upgrade the speakers. Any ideas for standard size speakers that will give abit of bass. Not after window shattering bass, just sumthin.

Underseat sub is probably the best way. Although they are a bit meh, will do if you aren't willing to give up any room at all.

yes you can

either an amp with hi level input or a hi level to rca adaptor (neither are very good and not helped by the head unit)

i'd say no tbh

i'd say 2 sets of components just dont connect the tweeters on the rears (so act more like mid bass speakers)

Best sort of speakers for the clio, IMO, is the Focal Access speakers, sound great just off the head unit, when amp'd sound one hell of alot louder and bass'ier.

Im currently in the process of upgrading the rear speakers to the 6.5" and will be doing the fronts also with an MDF baffle ring. If you get a new'ish headunit, you can set the filters up and gain a little more bass that way aswell.

Also on the note of InPhase equipment, the amps they do are very good, the whole range of speakers are not. If you can, get the DB Audio speakers.
DB Audio and InPhase are basically the same company, DB Audio is more on the american side of build quality and size tho where IPA is made in the UK, in Nottingham so i am told.
