battery not charging

Battery not charging on my wife's 1999 megane cabrio, 1.6 16v same engine as in some clios

i guess it's the altenator but is there anything else to look out for ??

i think the altenators are £££££££££££

i seem to remember a few years back getting one for my fiesta at £50 exchange...

Check the alternator wiring but alternators can fail a lot.

I think most scrap yards and autosalvage places now do refurbed alternators, as i remember when mine went on my last car i took it to a autosalvage place and exchanged mine for a fully refurbed one for about £25/£30.
