Behind number plate?

Whats behind the number plate section of the bumber just above the grill, from looking at it looks like the Radiator is a fair few inches back.

Just wondering how that part of the bumper is attached, or is the whole thing attached at the sides?

As far as I'm aware dude it's just padding/foam inserts between the bumper and the slam panel at the middle point.

well, if it helps, mine after an accident awhile back that took the front bumper off but its a non-sport:
