BEL 550 group buy

following from the earlier thread I phoned comtech today to check out the current price, the standard price is now around 339, but after some discusion if we do a group buy of around 10 we can get them for around £255 +delivery!!! Confirmed so far are myself and 1 friend so with around 8 more orders we can get a good deal.

I would consider a road angel or similar personally (GPS Database)

The gatso detection of the radar units is pretty abysmal, and the laser detetector only tells you you have been nabbed, not good as a warning device.

Agree that laser detection is not good unless you get a reading off another car (which is not that likely) before they point it at yours, but detection on my Euro 550 for gatsos, (fixed and mobile) is superb. 99% of the time you have plenty of time to slow down.

Valentine 1 is more popular in the US. The manufacturer claims that it can detect even very weak laser signals (i.e. those rebound from the cars in front or even the pavement). MSRP is US$399. But you can buy one from the ebay as low as US$300.

The Car & Driver said it was the best.

Im interested. Does the Angel do Laser warnings aswell, if so is it possible to get a similar saving on this? The 550 is £280 at radarexpress, when you add cliosport discount to this, its not much different to what you have been offered!

I have the younger brother of the 500, the 300, and I agree with Jas that it is excellent and one of the best purchases I have ever made - it has certainly paid for itself on several occassions and I feel naked when driving someone elses car that doesnt have a detector.

Buy one of these beauties NOW and you can at least have a fighting chance....
