Best 16" Track Tyre

Are there any track oriented tyres available in 16" sizes to fit standard cup Turinis? There seem to be loads of options in 15" but that would mean purchasing a new set of alloys. Any sizes of R888s or similar that fit?

Will 195/50/16s fit OK on the 172 cup?

AFAIK yes. I have some 195/50R16 A048s to fit so I'll soon find out. There could be issues if you're lowered too much.

Both of these sizes will fit the rim, but as mark123 says, there could be issues if too low.

not easy to get hold of 16" track tyres due to it being a rare size for a track car. usually 15" or 17". if you are looking into doing a few track days a year i would look into getting a set of 15" oz f1's just for track, then your turini's for road.

Over a couple of years, will work out cheaper to get some crappy 15's to stick track rubber on.
