Best air filter

Picking up a MK2 172 on monday. Which is best air filter to go for in terms of BHP gains??? Thanks

It depends if you want to go replacement element or induction kit way.

For an element then go for the itg or the green filter.

If you want to go induction kit way then yes a viper ( i wouldnt call it the daddy lol) or a BMC CDA.

If u want sound then a standard pipercross induction kit which sounds the nuts. My mates got 1 and its the best sounding induction kit ive ever heard. Sounds soooooo sweet.

ive got a CDA, pretty chuffed with it. not a cheap filter but it is the daddy as you put it!!!!

in general, best filter is GruppeM (no 172 fitment available), for the 172 the ITG Maxogen will be available very shortly, which IMHO will be the best option for the 172, after that the BMC CDA then followed by the viper, bringing up the rear are the open IKs you can buy as they are plain crap
