Thats the one! Doesnt have a seperate power requirement does it?!?
I take it would be okay to power my components and sub off a 4 channel amp?? And also my rear speakers?!
Im a bit dim when it comes to ICE! Lol!
lol i im not sure.. buy it plug it all in and turn it on.. if theres no black smoke/burning smell then your good to go!
I run my Alpine IVA-300RB media station with a Alpine V12 550 rms digi-amp for the sub along with a 2 ch amp for my front system all from the batt. and it´s fine.....So you must have a dodgy fuse holder/connection for sureQuote: Originally posted by april on 17 September 2004
Ive already got an excellent Alpine HU but it needs the extra power feed and Im not sure Im happy about it because I think it may be affecting the battery and it also regularly cuts out!! I know they are excellent HUs but for peace of mind I wanted one without the additional power requirement!
Bad clutch control!Quote: Originally posted by april on 22 September 2004

Going to try and change the fuse holder and also book my car into Renault because keep having trouble starting the car and bunny hopping when it does start!! Lol!
More likely a dodgy speaker connection if thats the case.Quote: Originally posted by RB_172 on 23 September 2004
FYI, the blade fuse holders were from Maplin - They were a few quid I think. Dont attempt to bullet them on or anything, the bullets arent rated to that sort of current.
I was always under the impression only 1 speaker cut out - in which case its unlikely to be the HU power supply at all. Of course if things have changed, that would explain why youre trying to do what youre doing.
Good luck with it, Ive got the job of installing a full Alpine satnav system in mine now.
