Well I was always very happy with the BMC CDA - mine was the custom model for a BMW 3.0 Z3 which flowed more air than the standard width ones, but whatever fits I suppose. Anyway, put it this way, I never believed a filter could make such an incredible difference until I used the BMC hooked up to my front facing foglight scoop. Shame I blew up the whole induction system really.

quickshift make a carbon 1 with a stainless steel filter, sposed to be really good, some tuning company did a test with a flow box and it gave the best flow out of the quickshift, bmc and viper, they stuck all of the on some random bmw and tested it and the quickshift gave the biggest increase but also had the most noise, and apparantly it was defening, so if u want noise and power guess that is the 1 to go for.

Im after a new induction kit, took my sh*tty pipecross airfilter off and put my standard air filter box back on earlier, and took it for a drive, and omg, didnt realise how much that pipercorss airfilter was slowing me down.

One thing tho I do miss the noise whens it gets to 4k revs. So if i do get a new airfilter its gotta be the best of the best, inclosed, heat resistant etc etc.

Where can you get those quickshift carbon filters from, or the bmc cda one, im really interested in them.

ProComp do the best carbon IKs but its a shame they only do them for saxos and some pugs

Ive got a Viper on mine and it does the job perfect, ive also got the cold air feed pipe running to the lower front grill so its getting alot of cold air suked in.
