Best clio 200 mod with some rules and regulations!

Hi, got my clio 200 which I'm chuffed to bits with except for one thing missing in my opinion the engine noise/exhaust note!

Whats the best mod that (in order of importance):

a) Makes a good noise
b) Doesnt make too much noise on the motorway (95% of my miles is motorway driving), ideal would be just when you gun it - not at 4000rpm at 80/85 (if possible???)
c) Adds to the bhp of the car.. I know this gain isnt going to be huge..

Have a few hundred to spend..

Doesn't add BHP but takes seconds off when cornering

New suspension or just dropping the existing? That looks cool by the way!! Does it actually improve the handling as well? Didnt think it could get much better!!

Theres a used ktec system for sale on the renault sport forum for £250, might be a bit ott for the motorway though, mine does my head in after a while. Akropovic is the daddy, but is also expensive

Their isn't any adjustment on the std suspension with regards to lowering but you can buy lowering spring or go all out and buy coilover(springs and damper as a complete unit) both will give you better handerling do a search mate their probably loads of reviews

I'm not too bothered about the handling really as its amazing as standard - got the cup suspension etc. It does look great lowered but for now just want to make the engine sound a bit more inductiony/throaty but just wary might end up doing my head in like Sanders up here! That Akropovic system looks amazing!! I wonder how it sounds at motorway speed though?? Quite pricey coming in at 800 quid as well!! Those carbon inserts looks really cool. Would look great against the grey as well I reckon..

Uumm difficult to get a nice sounding exhaust that not goin to be too load on the motorway but still noticable everywhere else. I have a millteck cat back on my 182 with std cat and is actually really quite at motorway speed so maybe will be the same with the milltek system for the 200

replace your 1st silencer with a straight pipe

decat the standard exhaust or replace the centre section with a straight through pipe, those are the common mods to the exhaust, are you on clio197.net, thees a few videos on there of 200s with the centre section replaced

I chopped the centre section out of my standard exhaust, sounded ok, but a bit tinny/metallic sounding? not really worth doing imo
