Best filter for a MK1 RSI

Anyone know what the best type of filter is for this engine?? I currently got a K&N induction kit fitted when I brought the car but I dont want it making me lose power

Hillpower induction kit gets my vote, relocates to where the washer bottle lives. The K&N 57i on my old RSi didn't work well.

Is it fitted on the TB or located at the end of the rubber trunk?

if the latter, just put a heat shield round it and route an air feed to it from the original feed location.
