Best hand held vacuum cleaner?

Anything good out there, or is it all about the Dyson? Are they really worth the extra cash over the competition?

My mum got a dyson handheld which I use.

It is brilliant, best small hoover I've ever used, I wouldn't buy one though. Battery life is awful, get about 5 minutes of vacuuming and then 2 hours of charging.

Its great but like the dyson the battery doesnt last longer than 5 mins...

I use it to hoover out my car

I have a Dyson. But we got the inlaws a B&D (the one linked above) and I would say it is better than the dyson.
