Do any of these fancy satnavs let you just display a big speed readout/speedo, like they did on the Origin b2?

Mark, the new revision of the Origin stuff does.

The new name Pogo http://www.pogogps.com/
Uses the same Origin 360 Database (the best database available)

I upgraded my old Origin B2 for one, they do some good trade in deals if you still have yours Mark.

If you fancy a look/play with one, let me know. Ill be down south again soon.

I've been considering buying a PogoDrive but not sure if the sat nav side of it is good or not.

They are brilliant. The camera side is spot on, cant beat it as its Origin B2 with a new name.

Sat nav is not too bad, not brilliant but very usable.

Its based on Navman setup, so not exactly crap. Ive not had any problems yet.

The Origin database is the best around which does tempt me towards buying the PogoDrive, the Alert is not worth considering as it's a identical price for less.

I've never used a Navman system, TomTom was always my preferred sat nav.

I have always had the pocketgpsworld camera updates on my Tomtom. Very very accurate and upto date.

Just been issued a Tomtom XL by work - very nice, wider screen, sharper display, though unfortunately, not quite as fast thro the menus or browsing maps as the original Tomtom One V1 I've just sold:(

Can't do a trade in...I sold mine for spares Has, after the 4th unsuccessful attempt by Origin to repair a faulty/silent speaker I'd had enough.

Looking at the Pogo Alert - it seems to have exactly the same features as the b2...but with colour screen and in-built GPS antenna...is that right?

Shame about the B2 Mark :(

I had mine a fair while and never had a problem.

As for the Alert, i have sold plenty since release and im liking it also.
Its bang on like the B2 with a good few more features and the colour screen.

Yes it also has built in GPS, so no wire trail apart from the power cord.
Its very small square unit! With either dash or screen mounting.

Screen can be customised and display large speedo also.
If you need details or more info Mark let me know.

The pocketgpsworld camera updates are good but ive come accross plenty that are not on the database or are simply wrong.

Not bad as freebies but not ideal.

For example, the Origin database gets updated very often, (almost daily) and has new locations for that day including temp camera locations.
