Best insurance company for mods

  Volvo S60 T5

Best quote I have had so far is £480.00 with direct line but its online so cant declare mods.

Who you recon I should try?

One thing to note about your mods though.

I am insured with elephant, and really must ring up and declare mine. But anyway, i emailed them about it the other day, and for the mods i have they wanted an extra £57 which i didnt think was that bad. The only problem with that is that the mods are not covered on the insurance! The extra money is because the car is at more of a risk of being stolen and i suppose they think crashed. So if my car does get stolen i only get standard replacements for everything! So next year i intend to find somebody that will pay out for my bits. Maybe Adrian Flux or someone like that could help you out.

Give admiral/elephant a try mate. they were the only insurance company who would touch me if i delcared my mods. lowering cost £20 extra, and exhaust cost £10 more. i thought it was pretty reasonable, considering everyone else refused to take me.

  don't

HIC and CIS dont charge u any extra 4 mods

both number should be in *insurance listing* at top 4 ya, thats if u aint tried them already anyway

Adrian Flux are the only people that will insure a car with NOS, as for other mods, try Greenlight.

all modding covered within policy, dont have to declare anyuthing so long as u have pics of it on the car u can claim. dont think they allow engine conversions obviously....unsure about turbos

You could try Privilege mate they are always the cheapest for me.

No mods on my 172 yet but I had quite a few on my old XR2i and they only charged me about an extra 40-50 quid a year.

quick question:

im 17 years old with directline 1.2 mk2 clio.

how much is my insuance likely to go up by if i adD:

1) alloys

2) lexus lights

3) window tinting

how much do ya reckon for each of these if my insurance is currently about 1,500 quid. im desperate to get soem alloys on me car but am afraid of how much the insurance will increas eby, especially as the insuance is in someone elses name and id have to ok it with them anyway.

  Integra DC5 Type R
