best panel filter make

As the title states really, wondering what the best panel filter you peeps reconmmend, and also how much and where from, cheers

my ITG panel filter came though today..£35 pounds from motorsportworld.co.uk job done :)

i had a K&N on mine, and couldnt complain at all. only got rid as i opted for a viper

Cliobon, PM me if you get it; I am really interested to know what kind of difference it would make to performance/sound on a car that isn't a RS model.

Went with a green one in the end as a lot of people I know run them on high performance cars with good results.

Think a K&N would be just as good along with the ITG.

I've also heard talk of the stainless mesh ones not being great at filtering small particles out of the air.

and if you get a dodgy one you have the risk of little shards of metal breaking off....

i know id rather have a little bit of paper or foam go thru mine rather than a chunk of metal!!

Good point.

I ran a Blitz filter on my old car (steel mesh cone) without any problems though but I suppose I couldn't see any damage that might have been occuring inside the engine due to particles getting through.

Bon u fool stop trying to compete with me and Gem! lol im sure a filter will be fine! tho u need to lose the 17's before you can realli match either of us on pace! well next time you see me i should have the viper fitted!

Take care people!

saying that tho, i had a k and n, and a bunch of tar and stuff went down my inlet pipe from whatever they use to stick the chrome bit on top of the cotton mesh bit.
