Get about 5bhp if your lucky from that lot, id rather spend the money on brakes and handling to try and keep up with a 172 cup!

IMO the ITG maxogen, is the best indcution kit, not cheap though.

whoever told you they were highly tuneable was telling porkys! Evo mate :)

Their easy to tune. Loads of kit out there and quite a bit of development going on. The issue is the expense of extracting the ponys but your going to get that on any N/A set up.

Lower and rip the interior out.

Theres no point in throwing bucket loads of money at it and trying to keep up with Subarus and Mitsubishis.

Theres no substitute for Cubic Capacity.

Want somthing really fast? Buy a really fast car.

Making the 182 above 200bhp would cost you an absolute fortune and would probaly compromise what reliability it has left.

Group N remap - £135
ITG Panel filter - £30
Matched inlets - £140
Bucket seats - £600+
Coilovers - £500+
Silenced/straight through decat £60-110
Yozza/Milltek/RS192 cat back exhaust system - £380+
Brembo HC front discs - £100+

Provide a little more straight line speed/acc'n but the handling/braking mods & the seats make the car x10 more enjoyable to drive.

etc etc

Easy tiger - iirc the CC is the same ;)

As was already mentioned, if you're on a tight budget don't bother going near the engine yet, the standard induction system wasn't developed to restrict the car and you're not gonna see much gains until you splash out on the likes of a maxogen kit.

Spend what you have on a good set of discs and pads, i.e. feroddo DS2500's and brembo high carbon discs, stainless brake lines and good brake fluid, get a set of wishbone and antiroll bar polyurathene bushes, good sticky set of tyres and if you have enough left over a set of eibach pro kit springs. Make sure your suspension and brakes are sorted properly and you'll shave a few seconds off your lap times;)

  53 Clio's & counting
I would say a decent set of springs ( Eibach Prolines/Sportlines) and decent set of uprated front discs, pads and braided hoses will make the biggest difference to you chap

go for a decent suspension set up and some decent brakes mate.. forget speed, you wont see that much of an improvement unless you have enough to do all breathing mods and a remap.

Remove weight, i gained an extra 7BHP per ton just from removing the interior and changing wheels.
