Best place in North West. Service/Belts

Hi all.

Going to get my cam and aux belts done in next 2 weeks as done over 50k now. Just wondering if any of you can recommend anywhere in the northwest to do it and how much they would charge as dont fancy renault prices.

I am in warrington.

I'd like to know if anyone has been to the renault specialist opposite renault manchester on Trinity Way, Manchester? I am strongly inclined to give them a whirl for my next service. (48k)

From birchwood area m8. will take a look in the meets section, thanks. Thats when i get time to drive it with working etc, Can usually be seen in the company car (Bloody vectra!). My girlfriend usually robs my clio in the week :-S

As for belts how much are the from renault. Only my girlfriends dad is a machanic and said he would have a go for free but has no experience with clios etc so might be hit and miss. Unless i can get clear instructions for him.....do i trust my car with him tho having no experience is another matter...

Proclean are very good value - £30-£35 per wheel and a 24 hour turnaround. If you need tyres fitting too (you provide them of course!)they will fit and balance for free as they have to deflate the fitted tyres anyway!

im gettin my belts changed on weds for £280. place in my village(burscough). never had stuff done by him b4 but i heard good things bout him on mates cars. called ERS in lathom/burscough

Ring the Renault minute garages they can be very competitive sometimes.
LTR are good though.

definately suggest pro-clean, ive had a fair few sets of alloys refurbed by them, always a top job and pretty quick turnaround,. my last set was a set of BMW 18's multi spokes, they painted the inner rims and gave it a diamond cut polished rim, they looked the nuts! would defo go there again and amazingly cheap too for what they do!

I rang the fella at ERS, nice guy and v.informative. However he told me

£330 for Gates belt

£360 for Daeco belt.

+ approx £20 for aux if needed.

How come it was £280 4 months back?!!

And how much does LTR charge, if Winston's reading...

Want my cambelt changing asap.

not too far, ask for steve or andy to do the work, andy has 172 exclusive, so it'll be very good hands. Steve does all the work on my cup and is a mate

There quite good value you might be challened to find a garage who know about Renault to do the job right cheaper.

mate of mine at renault (down south) quoted me £400 with discount, but with travel costs and the inconvenience I'm not too keen.

getting some quotes now if anyone else can recommend garages.
