Best place to get a clutch from, fitted?

  Liquid Yellow 182 FF
Long story short, I stupidly went to a 'Mr Clutch' last year and my clutch is shite now, not progressive at all, and makes a horrible noise when pulling away in first gear or sometimes going into second. Ive been to my well trust local Renault specialist and been told its my clutch but said it would cost £600?!?!?!?!?!?! Anyone know of any decent places near the GU14 post code or sensible driving that could fit a new clutch for a 1.2 16v. Ive had alook but I don't want to have a s**t clutch again.

Thanks

I checked out Mr Clutch last year for my 172. I discovered they are cheap but they fit relined clutches. Cant believe in this day and age they still do this. This is such a false economy.

The f**k?

I might be going mad, but I'm sure I only paid around £80 for a Valeo clutch fitted to mine last year.

I was shocked when they said £600! They've never ripped me off for stuff before and are normally alright, but when he turned around and said that I was like ermm, yeah, do one.

Did I just vastly underpay then? If it wasn't £80 - it wasn't any more than £150; I'm pretty certain.

weeyurd.
