Best presure washer? Talk to me!!

Got a nilfisk 120 had it years and been very good but its getting a bit tired now! Wondering what's decent at the minute
Been looking at the nilfisk 140 not sure if that's a bit to much pressure for car cleaning thou ??

What you bought in last 12 months and what's the verdict ?

Nilfisk 120 a few days ago as was £80 on Amazon.

I’ve got the 140.

It’s a good bit of kit but my only gripe with it is the hose doesn just screw off. I wanted to replace mine with a rubber hose as I find they’re a lot more flexible but I couldn’t because it’s attached within the machine. There probably is a way of getting to it but it would mean taking the machine apart.

For this reason I’d probably look at getting another 120 when this one needs replacing.

Had a 120 that lasted about 5 years. I’m pretty sure even when it stopped working it would have been a fairly easy fix. Most likely a rubber o ring that had perished. Sold it on eBay for £30 and the bloke that bought it seemed confident he’d be able to fix it easy enough.

The trouble with the cheaper end Karchers is they come with plastic impellors, whereas all Nilfisks have metal impellers so tend to last longer.

Great bit of kit, good design, multiple lances and patio attachment makes life easy.

The K5 has a 10m hose and I have the extension to 20m but the hose is a pain like Dave said. I have a new K5 as a back up but will be looking at a hot top end Karcher soon with a rubber hose.

It’s more of a flexible plastic than rubber. It’s not that bad and has got better with age. I suspect it’s probably a bit more robust than a rubber one albeit less flexible.

It’s certainly not disastrous.

Our traffic dept have a proper top end Karcher. It’s massive but it blasts out hot water which is bloody awesome.

I have had the K5 X series for over ten years & it has seen some work.
Just got a new one for £198 to replace when it finally packs up!

Does this to have induction motor Ron?
See they do 2 models with and without induction?
No problems with the max pressure on the car?

No the one I have doesn’t have an induction motor.

Absolutely no issues with the max pressure.

I’ve just checked and I actually have the D 130 model not the 140.

Got a 120 and the standard hose is awful - gets tangled all the time and not long enough, been looking on eBay for replacements but they all seem to be 'rubber wire reinforced' and look to be made out of the same stuff as my one. Any idea where to get a rubber/more flexible one? And I should think 10m-15m would be enough, I'd imagine too long gets annoying as well!

Anything 120 ish will do best go for one with more accessories imo

Had the Nilfisk for about 5 years now, and can't fault it really. Just got fed up with having to move the unit around two cars due to only having a 6m hose, and getting all the wires and hoses tangled up. I can now leave it in one place and walk around both cars without getting in a tangled mess.

It is more rubbery and flexible than the standard hose yes. But not massively like a normal hose pipe, but i guess this is to deal with the high pressures
