Best tyre sizes on turinis

At the mo... i have standard 195/45 on my 16" turinis.

I want more grip through the corners/under heavy braking. Should i opt for 205/45? Will that work... or not?

If not... whats the best option for me to achieve this (cost friendly)

as long as your car isn't lowered to within an inch of it's life - i wouldn't see a problem going for the 205's !

205/45 go for PE2 there are excellent and the majority agree. They are pressure sesitive i.e. no less than 33/31.

You wont regret it.

Exalto 2's (not exalto1's) are the best all round road tyre for the clio. For track then yes maybe something different although i have done various trackday and ring trip and realy rate them.

Get the same size tyre all round.

upgrade to 205/45 all round.. if you're tight like me and dont wanna replace all 4 at once, you can run 195's with 205's, bang the 205's on the back

I'd be very careful putting part worn tyres on the back of a Clio.... You need as much grip back there as possible in this weather!!

Defo get 205's as the 182's came with them as standard, gives you that tiny bit extra grip over the 195's

If you're just buying 2 then put the new 205's on the back then change the front when necessary also to 205's

Make sure the new 205's are on the back as if the front can't hold on in a corner then its not too bad but if the back suddenly overtakes you due to lack of grip then you're in trouble lol

Michelin pe2's are very good, just changed to them and you can definitely notice the difference from standard.
