best wax for finish on black cars?

ok, was thinking of doind srp, egp, then buying a glaze like clearkote yellow moose and then applying the swissvax onyx. what exactly does a glaze do?
is it worth getting the onyx over the 50/50?

For the 25 quid Budget - Chemical Guys 50/50

For the under 50 quid Budget - Swissvax Onyx.

No Budget! - Swissvax Best of Show.

Clearkote Yellow Moose or any of the other CK Glazes for that matter will remove some of the EGP, Galzes dont really work in a sealant based set up. Going the EGP route 2 or 3 layers of it and then top with wax.

You could use Megs 7 Show Car Glaze after EGP and before the the Onyx if you wished.

Another truely fantastic wax at £29.95 is the Victoria Concours Wax. It really is impressive and constantly impresses me especially at the price.

Here are a couple of shots I took yesterday after PC'ing a couple of panels on the wifes A3 and then applying the Victoria wax.

thanks rich, also if i bought some nattys blue to put on first would that be ok. then i would top it off with either 50/50 or swissvax onyx?
after the egp is applied and buffed of is there any set time to wait before i apply the wax and how long should i leave in between putting the swissvax onyx on top of the nattys>??

12 - 24 hours cure time before topping EGP with a wax.

You could use Nattys before another Carnuba if you feel you want to. I used Nattys Blue before Souveran in the past. I used to apply one, then a coat of the other after it's next wash.

With the Onyx I would not bother using it first - I would build up 2 or 3 coats of EGP over a few weeks and top after the first wash with the Onyx.

Thats a hard one to call, for depth of gloss I'd say Victoria wax, Onyx might have it on wetness. Both are top notch products though, thats for sure.
