Best way to mend a split cv boot?

So leading on from my other post, until I can get another drive shaft, whats the best way to temporarily mend a split boot? its about 2cm long, the rubber has just cracked over time and now split

I was thinking super glue over it (did this last time worked quite well) then maybe some kind of tape with cable ties?

Duct tape or superglue or both.

Its quite a big split and could be a little while till I fit a new one so need it fixed really! Duct tape and super glue sounds gd thou

Or you could fit a new boot if you were desperate.

^^ I heard they are a bit of a b**ch to fit thou? Another shaft is probably cheaper anyway!

The inner driveshaft gaitor is about a tenner from renault, and not much effort for your local garage to fit for you.
