Best way to remove a "sport" badge?

The last owner added a renault sport badge to my mk1 in place of the clio badge  Im guessing it is a halfords special and comes with some sort of adhesive pad on it already. So what is the best way to remove this with no damage to the paintwork?

fishing line, grab each side then work the fishing line down behind the badge :) job done, then polish the rest off

Stick the kettle on, make a cup of tea. Having done so pour remaining hot water (not boiling, just hot) over bagde, grab some dental floss, run it down the back of badge. SRP residue off, done.

Yeah it work's on the standard badges. All your doing is heating up the glue thus making it soft enough and enabling you to easily peel off the badge. Take time heating the badge before trying to peel it off tho.

i used a hair dryer to heat the glue and slowly pulled it off. then used AG tar remover to get rid of excess glue.
