Did you learn how to lap 16 valves in at college? I'd order a laping in stick and 16 valves if I was you cause reading this sounds like you'll need them. I know lots of mechanics who wouldn't even take this job on.

He can't afford a lapping stick, let alone the paste.

Jam a pencil in the crank pin.

Use a caramac nibbled to the shape of a horse shoe for the cams.

And loosen it alll off... windy gun every thing up ft. And your sorted.

Having seen the tools he's bought, the caramac probably has more structural integrity.

I've never tried to straighten bent valves before but I know someone who's just about to give it a go. If after you've fitted the cam belt it turns over like a sewing machine you've killed it
