Best websites for V6 Tuning

Tuning options for the V6 arent commercially abundant. There are hardly any exhaust/filters and piddly crap for it. So when it comes to tuning for cams, headwork, ECU corrections your basically on your own to decide what you want.

Not enough V6s out there to make any venture really worthwhile.

Saying that, if you can get hold of the cliotrophy cams, valve springs, convert to the twin plenham setup on the MK1, exhaust you can see 285bhp easy. THe engine is in a very poor state of tune.......loads more to come out.

  Forester Sti, SC Clio V6,

The ecu wont run twin throttle bodies so your better off with a MK 2 plenum and larger throttle body and spend the change on a de cat.

BenR is right the standard engine was detuned for longevity - even the MK2 was at 275 before they dropped 20 bhp for warrantly cost reasons

If you decide to go down the road of throttle bodies, plenums etc. Where do you actually go ?
Is there anywhere you can just say "here it is bring it back when its 300bhp please" and heres your £10k cash.

Hi .. Im new to the forum.. but I had a chat a few weeks ago with Mark Fish Motorsports in Harlow about tuning my (UK 2002) Clio V6. (they are the only Clio V6 specialists I know that exist around here!?) They are pretty well experienced and been RACING and tuning there own Clio V6 for a while...and now offering there experience with engine/suspension upgrades to the public (I was referred to them by a guy that had one of there custom made exhausts fitted...and was well happy with the work that was carried out there by Mark)
I have there tel no. at work... and will post it on here Monday if anyone is interested in tuning up there V6, these are the guys that know what there talking about. (he was able to just give me advice on a few things over the phone, and friendly guy to ask questions to) He mentioned that he wants to be the leading Clio V6 tuner in the UK and is currently working on loads of upgrades for the MK1 V6, that will result in over 300bhp by far without the aid of nos or turbo etc (which is really more than u need to have serious fun with this car!)

As someone asked, it looks like you can just drop it in and pick it up with the mad upgrades sorted a week or so later!

Im just looking at changing the very restrictive standard exhaust later this year, and some ecu work.. nothing too major for now. (BUT... Doesnt it always start like that!)

Overall... well happy with it!

cheers..

The main problem with this engine is the injection/induction system.

All you really need to is flow the heads, swap the cams, valve springs, add your downdraught TBs and your away, well over 300bhp.

If you want it done...........hmmmm.....PM me

..just incase anyone wants the Essex based contact for tuning the Clio V6 ..I found there tel.no. 01279 431628 (Mark Fish Motorsport. Harlow, Essex) Searching Yahoo.. this guy is pretty well known for his Racing. Cya.

I have replaced the exhaust recently to a Ktec racing one and noticed a slight difference... Seems to breath alot better... What are the next steps to take? Really thinking on a Supercharger!!
