Best wheel cleaner/sealant for DIY rattlecan Alloys?

I've recently resprayed my alloys, and it took me quite a while with all the priming and sanding, so Im just wondering what would be the best thing to a: clean them, and b: protect them?

Im just wondering because obviously with them only being rattle can laquer and paint, Im not sure I should use just any old wheel cleaner, as they might do more damage than clean?
Also would like something to keep them easy to clean and protect them, so my hardwork isn't ruined too quickly!?

Thanks

I'd always avoid acidic cleaners, even on tough powder coated wheels. Still to cleaners that aren't acidic; plenty of them about. Best have a look over on DW for more specific advise.

I use Poorboys Wheel Guard (or Wheel Sealant...?) on mine. Good stuff and helps brake dust just wipe away.

Oh rele!? Thanks I'll have a look around.

Im just a bit cautious because of it being a rattle can job, and even though I did it properly, I just can't help thinking they shouldn't be cleaned like any old alloy, I don't want my paint being eroded!

Daisy APC won't do the same job as PB Wheel Guard.

APC to clean them, Wheel Guard protects them - it's a sealant that you apply once they're clean.

Aye, APC is a good alternative to a lot of more expensive, fashionable all-purpose cleaners...

Yea they are Laquered, if you mean the clear laquer you put on after the basecoat colour? I just want to be careful because it took me a lot of hard work and I don't want to get them ruined lol.

Thanks for your help.

poorboys wheel sealant. Swear by the stuff. 3/4 coats and its done. everything just wipes off. Its also very easy on and off!

Ebay mate.
Edit: Tried finding the link but doesn't look like the exact one I bought is there anymore.

Works a treat I applied two layers last week and dust just wipes off.

I've got some of that Tesco APC for cleaning the wheels. Now my question is, do I need to apply more wheel sealant every time I clean them?
