think ben has it about right

Power x 1000 = bhp/tonne
Weight in kgs

cool! so that means i have 141 bhp per tonne at the wheels!!

and about 171 bhp per tonne at the fly!!

EAT ME 172s !!!! RRAAARRRRRR!!!

mines lighter.

Kerb weight for 16v is 975-980 Kg. Wheels may be lighter but that would not account for much, would be the same or heavier if larger wheels but then not sure if LP tyres would be lighter.

God knows how heavy our cars really are as you can never go by manufacturers figures. Just like 137 brake is probably optimistic as standard. False floors and ICE build will obviously add a bit. Might as well call it a tonne in weight.

Dont forget in real terms that you should account for your own weight thats in the car too

If ya want some faster times at the strip this year it could be worth while getting your arse down to the gym and losing a few kgs!;)

Kerb weight is aroud 980 kg for a 16v, seriously lighter wheels might take 10kg off that. Put it this way, Im running:

light wheels only 7kg each

no spare wheel OR cage

kevlar bucket seats in the front (6kg each)

no rear interior (seats, parcel shelf, seatbelts etc)

no jack in the scuttle panel

and Ill be pleased if it makes 950kg.
