Big licence probs - advice appreciated!

  Mrs' valver! &myV6 veccy

Recently was taken to court for a speeding fine. Got £240 fine with 3 points.

However, due to other circumstances, i was a week late handing my licence in to be endorsed.

Had a letter through saying they have revoked my licence.

They also said this which had somewhat confused me:-

"You are permitted to continue driving for a maximum period of 12 months even though your licence has been revoked or surrendered, provided that:

You are not prevented from holding or obtaining a licence by a court or on age or health grounds
Any conditions which may apply to the licence are met "

Im very confused, and worried. What does this mean? Am i allowed to continue driving?

And what do i have to do to get my licence back.

Luckily im not driving at the moment anyway due to cars being off the road. But would be gutted if i couldnt drive all because i was a week late handing something in.

Any help and/or advice much appreciated.

Cheers,

Al

Sounds like they have taken your licence to get the points put on, expect you will get it back in a few weeks, with the points. In the mean time you can still drive as you have not been banned. I think I am right but call them to be on the safe side.

yeh. ive had this when i was wrongly accused of no insurance due to a police f**k up with my producer. u can still drive and u will get your licence back. just dont go driving in other countries. :)

id still ring em and check mind
