Bilstein B14 different spring rate... Faulkner

Hi guys, has anyone played with different spring rates on there B14's on Clio 182?

Looking into getting something slightly stiffer, think standard are 300lb from a quick search on here, have been recommended 400lb by @NorthloopCup in the past. Thinking either that or something midway to keep it more roadworthy...

It's mainly for the Ring so I know it's only a slight amount I need to change the rate just to stop going spring bound on the carousel!

Basically I'm after this info, without having to strip mine and measure up for Faulkner to supply a quote...

For us to quote we require the following
Spring open length mm
Spring rates as quoted
Spring travel = mm
i.d. = mm
o.d. = mm if critical
spring end finish

Best Regards
Peter Faulkner

Anyone know? Many thanks [emoji120]

I had Faulkner springs on the b14s but I went with a longer and softer spring think it was 250lb. Perfect for the road.

@incy-spider your tag didn't work for me for some reason? If you do it on tapatalk, it doesn't notify me for some reason?!

Right spring length is easy! They'll either be 8" or 9" long springs. Easier to jack your car up and measure the spring length on full droop.
Don't bother with the rest of it though as it's almost all b****cks. Lol! The front springs will likely be a 60mm/2.5" id on the bilsteins - most coilovers are tbh.
Outer diameter - not important
Spring travel - not important
Spring end finish - should be classed as profiled. This means that they're flattened off to sit on the perch better.

Legend! Thanks mate, do you think 350lb would be a noticeable difference, worthwhile? don't really want to upset the balance too much and start having to change the rears...

Er, just looked on kam racings site, and they quote the rates as 400 fronts and 285 rear!!

Up the fronts to 425 or 450 mate is my advice after reading that. You'll not upset the valving in the dampers doing it that way either. A 25lb increase might not sound much, but it would be noticeable.

Ah okay! Don't know where I found 300lb from then, depending on price I may order a few options...
