Black Exhaust Tips

Has anyone done this?

I think it could look great, however I can't find a pic/thread anywhere.

I agree, something I see often on modern cars. imo looks great, would suit a182 also. Not seen it done, be the first (watch someone come along and prove me wrong now I’ve said that...)

Mine go fairly black anyway with it being decatted.

I may give it a go over the winter.

This is part of my reason why I want to paint, mine get black so quickly.

Just don’t want it to look odd.

I think you can get “anodising spray” in an aerosol tin. I’m sure I’ve seen it before somewhere

My 200 has black painted tips, was done like it when i got it but they look good as the car is black too.

Do you mean something like this?,i did it on my custom made tailpipe.

Looks a bit wet tho as fresh paint.
It looks all worn now,will take some photos in the morning of how it is now,may even freshen it up again come to think of it.
