Well, I've owned this twice over the years and it was an absolute belter of a car, I'd spent a fortune on it (Twice) getting it up to the standard I like and every now and then I spot it up for sale..in different states of tune/form.
Everytime I see it, It's been fiddled with again and again (badly it seems) - it makes a prostitute seem untouched.

Anyway, feeling nostalgic, its always a car for me to remember and I only remember it for its good times.

Few old snaps of the 2nd time I owned/saved it.

My first one was black. Second best car I've ever owned (best was a silver one). I ruined it though with ph2 wheels, apex and a blueflame zorst like a bellend.

Looked absolutely incredible in the above photographs, however I must agree that I feel pretty underwhelmed with the advert and its current state. Shame really, I barely come across these on the road anymore (last one I saw was Nick's from Pure Motorsport).

I'd love to go and buy this and put it back to original spec, I have a massive soft spot for a ph1 and they look superb in black but I have a feeling the wife wouldn't be too impressed if I was to spend the holiday savings on another car.

I also know someone who owned this for a few months not that long back. It looked like when you had it and had Gaz Golds fitted. He changed the gearbox on it too.

Scott?
I keep in touch with him now and then. He has/had a Trophy that he hasn't gelled with compared to X459DYB

That would be awesome, however.. Its not worth anywhere near its current asking price.

I paid £800 for it the 2nd time round (2013) and it looks like its been nicely battered since.. undoing all the work I'd put into it.

Yeah mate. known him years. Did he buy it off you? He's on here and just got himself a nice e36 compact drifter.

Yeah Scott bought it from me and a few people spotted it shortly after being ragged everywhere 😂

I had a chap called Thomas from Ipswich contact me on facebook in April.. He wanted to try restore it, which lasted about a month before he punted it on.

Scott's a pretty sensible lad tbh. A mechanic too and looks after his cars. Some of his mates driving though :grimacing:

OK I've done some digging on XYB.

The current seller bought it off the lad from Ipswich a few months ago for the grand sum of £500... Sounds about right.

I quite agree that it's overpriced but sometimes I guess that's life :( being part way through building my track/hillclimb/race etc clio I know I haven't got the time needed to commit to another just yet but the number of ph1's do seem to be dwindling. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet before long, even if I end up storing it away for a time
